Each award certificate is worth a certain number of points, as follows:
- Teacher’s Award – 1 point
- Assistant Principal’s Award – 3 points
- Principal’s Award – 5 points
Once a student has 10 points, he/she is awarded a blue Kookaburra Pin. Further accumulation of points leads to the following Kookaburra Pins:
- 20 points = yellow pin
- 30 points = purple pin
- 40 points = orange pin
- 50 points = gold pin
- 60 points = platinum pin
