What does my child need to bring to school each day?

Your child will need to bring a school bag each day that is big enough to hold the following:

  • Crunch & Sip: a small piece of fruit or vegetable, preferably cut up, to have in the classroom at 10:00am.
  • Morning tea/recess: all children will need a small snack and drink to have at recess at 11:00am.
Please pack recess separately to lunch so that your child doesn’t get confused with what to eat. Please also think of the nutritional and health value – don’t always pack a packet of chips.
  • Lunch: all children will need a small lunch which is eaten at 1:10pm. A sandwich, wrap or salad and/or pieces of fruit or vegetables and a drink is ideal. Please DO NOT send in fizzy drinks or multiple sweet treats – e.g. chocolates, lollies etc – one treat is all they need.
  • Hat: if your child forgets their hat they will need to play in the shade.
  • Jumper: even if it is hot, the weather can be so unpredictable, that sometimes a jumper is needed.
  • Raincoat: showers often occur during the summer months as well as in winter. So it is handy to have one in your child's bag.

All items must be labelled with your child's name.
