Building stronger communities by supporting children and families.
The Meadows Public School enjoys wonderful community support. The Meadows Schools as Community Centre was established in 2004. The SaCC programs aim to support families raising children from 0 – 8 years, with a focus on highlighting the importance of the early years of a child's development, as well as supporting parents and caregivers in their roles as their child’s first teacher.
Working in partnership with local support agencies, community organisations and the school, the SaCC builds community connections for children and families which is an essential element in gaining positive outcomes for children.
Regular programs run through the SaCC include:
- Breakfast Club,
- Reading Corner,
- The Meadows Playgroup,
- Kids & Parents Learning Playgroup,
- English Conversation Classes,
- Zumba and Women's Social Groups
One-off parenting sessions to support the families of our community such as:
- Circle of Security,
- Triple P,
- 1-2-3 Magic,
- Excursions,
- Parent Groups,
- Information Sessions,
- Local community visits etc.
are also initiatives coordinated by the SaCC.

The SaCC rooms are located at the Eastern end of the school in Fuller Street.
