Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. We know that learning is strongest when families and the community are involved. We value these partnerships and love finding new ways to connect. Parents and caregivers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Schools as Community Centres (SaCC)

The Schools as Community Centres (SaCC) program is a NSW Department of Education initiative designed to support families with children from birth to 8 years. The program strengthens early learning, promotes wellbeing, and builds strong connections between families, schools, and the wider community.

At The Meadows, our SaCC program is led by Madhur Vani, who coordinates a range of high-quality early learning experiences, parent programs, and community engagement opportunities. These sessions are welcoming, inclusive, and designed to help children learn, play, and thrive alongside their families.

All families in our community are welcome to join our SaCC programs-no enrolment at the school is required. We encourage families to stay connected, meet others, and access valuable support in a friendly and supportive environment.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

The Meadows Public School P&C meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month of the school term at 9:00 am in the school staffroom, providing an excellent opportunity for parents and carers to stay informed and actively engage with the school community. These meetings are a platform to discuss important topics related to our school, including fundraising initiatives, school policies, events, and ways to support student learning and wellbeing.

Attending P&C meetings allows you to have a voice in decisions that impact your child’s education and helps foster a strong partnership between families and the school. Whether you can attend every meeting or just occasionally, your participation and input are highly valued.
