Stage 3 Students Shine in APSMO Junior Division
Each Thursday at lunchtime during Terms 2 and 3, 20 talented Stage 3 mathematicians have been honing their problem-solving skills as participants in the Junior Division Olympiad (APSMO)-a prestigious inter-school competition for high-potential students in Years 5 and 6.
The competition features four challenging contests held roughly six weeks apart, beginning in early Term 2. In each contest, students tackle five complex problems within 30 minutes under exam conditions, showcasing their focus, creativity, and mathematical skill.
Our students have approached this challenge with enthusiasm and determination. They have completed all four contests with impressive perseverance, demonstrating not only their strong mathematical abilities but also their resilience and love of learning. Following each contest, students engage in collaborative review sessions, discussing solutions and deepening their understanding while strengthening teamwork skills.
Congratulations to all our Stage 3 participants-your dedication and success are an inspiration to our entire school community!
Zone Champions: Parramatta Zone AFL
Our talented Stage 3 girls’ AFL team have made an incredible mark this year, taking out Zone Champions on their first-ever appearance in the competition. Their teamwork, resilience, and determination shone through every match, earning them a well-deserved victory.
Congratulations to our Super 12 for representing our school with pride and sporting excellence.
We are excited to continue growing AFL at The Meadows, including strengthening pathways and development opportunities through a partnership with Hills Sports High School in 2026 and beyond.
Unleashing Young Coders’ Potential
Our Coding Club brings together curious and creative students from Years 3-6 for weekly sessions filled with problem-solving, innovation, and fun! Recently, our coders had an exciting visit to the Interactive Media Centre (IMC), gaining inspiration and exploring real-world technology. Back at school, they’ve been designing and building their very own games, developing skills in coding, logic, and collaboration along the way.
At the Coding Club, students don’t just learn to code-they create, experiment, and bring their ideas to life. It’s the perfect space for young innovators to explore technology, challenge themselves, and have fun doing it!
